First Aid Course

SafeSpine/SafeMind is a mandatory workshop and forms part of the mobilisation requirements for anyone working on the SEPA - South Eastern Program Alliance.

Shifting Into Next Gear is SEPA's and Laing O'Rourke's Safety Philosophy workshop. It is mandatory for all personnel working on the South Eastern Program Alliance to complete the workshop as outlined in the SEPA mobilisation process. This is an interactive session to encourage participation and open discussion.

It is a unique, science-based approach to helping individuals, leaders and teams access their best and then make their best even better.

The 2 day course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to assist people experiencing a mental health problem or crisis. Upon completion of the course you will be a fully qualified Mental Health First Aider.

This workshop provides basic knowledge in the mental health area so the selected group can speak to people confidently, help raise awareness and address mental health stigma. It also goes through the ways in which to support individuals towards better health outcomes promoting the positive aspects of mental health and wellbeing.

Occupational aggression, be it physical or verbal, has become a global problem in work settings and occupational groups. The incidence of confrontational situations has gained momentum in recent years and is now a priority concern for most workplaces with a service-oriented environment. These conflictive situations can occur in a number of settings within the workplace. Either internally such as face-to-face, telephone or email communication, or externally when offsite working in the community.

An introduction to Fieldview for those who use it in their role

Treating people with courtesy and respect is a core principle at Laing O'Rourke and we are committed to achieving a harmonious work environment free from bullying, discrimination, harassment, vilification and victimisation.

This nationally recognised advanced first aid training course covers a broad range of topics to enable participants to respond to advanced first aid situations and manage the incident and other first aiders until an ambulance or other medical support arrives. Upon enrolment into this course you are required to complete the mandatory theory learning and assessment. This is done online in your own time prior to your face-to-face training days.

The Network will give women, men and gender diverse people working at SEPA the opportunity to take part in activities that focus on gender diversity, inclusion and equity. The network is primary focussed on connecting women with other underrepresented genders at SEPA and members of the team that are championing inclusion. The activities aim for a relaxed, social atmosphere focussing on connection and community.
